Italy is divided up into a number of constitutional and hierarchical areas including regions, provinces and municipalities.
There are twenty Italian regions and within each one there are a number of provinces. Lake Garda covers the three Italian regions of Lombardy to the west, Veneto on the eastern shores and Trentino Alto Adige South Tyrol at the northern tip. The three provinces of Lake Garda are Brescia (Lombardy), Trento (Trentino Alto Adige South Tyrol) and Verona which is in the Veneto region. |
